US federal government दुनिया का सबसे बड़ा AI buyer है। ये vendors को GitHub stars या developer community vibes पर evaluate नहीं करती। ये compute capacity, security posture, और — यहाँ मज़ा आता है — organizational maturity देखती है। वो maturity जहाँ तुम एक साल में दो CFOs नहीं खोते।

xAI के लिए, जो enterprise developers को OpenAI और Anthropic के मुकाबले attract करने में struggle कर रही है, government procurement एक rare चीज़ represent करता है: एक ऐसा market जहाँ सबसे बड़ा GPU cluster actually product हो सकता है।

The Move

The Perverse Logic

बात ये है: ये pivot एक twisted तरीके से sense बनाता है। Government procurement को agent SDK नहीं चाहिए — AI-powered autonomous workflows बनाने की toolkit। इसे MCP support नहीं चाहिए — वो emerging protocol जो AI tools को different data sources में plug करने देता है, जैसे USB पर AI के लिए। इसे कोई slick coding CLI नहीं चाहिए।

Disqualifying Baggage

अगर तुम AI tools बनाते या खरीदते हो, तो compliance layer पर ध्यान दो। Enterprise के बाद government अगला major AI battleground बन रहा है, और ये checklists पर चलता है, product demos पर नहीं। FedRAMP, IL5 (Impact Level 5 — DoD का controlled unclassified information के लिए classification), और StateRAMP (state-level equivalent) नए competitive moats बन रहे हैं। जो vendors अभी इन certifications में invest कर रहे हैं — boring, expensive, multi-year certifications — वो planet के सबसे बड़े AI buyer को own करेंगे।

The Verdict
